Episode 167: Why Your Skincare Routine Might Be Causing Your Acne

In the last few years, and especially since 2020, skincare has become all the rage. Just typing “skincare” on TikTok or Instagram would flood you with millions upon millions of results touting the benefits of all types of products.

However, skincare doesn’t always mean “good for your skin,” and more often than not, it can give you the opposite of what you were wishing for —instead of clear, bright, and beautiful skin, you end up with dullness, fine line, and acne.

The latter is what I’m discussing in this week’s episode of Balancing Hormones Naturally with my guest, the amazing Kayleigh Christina. Kayleigh is a certified holistic nutritionist and the co-founder of CLEARSTEM Skincare, and today, she and I will be discussing everything you need to know if you struggle with acne.

We’ll be going over the external and internal causes of acne, the effects of vitamin supplements on your skin, why so-called “clean” products are not always the best choice for acne-prone skin, and more.
